Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 5, 2026

This policy is intended to describe how ClickToPin handles data in connection with the current service and its optional Pinterest and WordPress integrations.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ClickToPin collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, application, and connected services.

ClickToPin is a content workspace for Pinterest creators. Our service helps users plan content, draft articles, create pin assets, publish to their own blog, and optionally connect their own Pinterest account to view their own Pinterest data.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect account and profile information such as your name, email address, login credentials managed through our authentication providers, and account preferences.

We may collect workspace and brand information such as brand names, colors, prompts, content settings, scheduling preferences, and publishing settings.

We may collect content you create or upload, including article drafts, pin copy, images, pin templates, and related metadata.

If you connect third-party services, we may collect the minimum connection data needed to provide the service, such as encrypted access tokens, connection identifiers, and sync metadata.

We may collect technical and usage information such as device/browser data, IP address, log events, error diagnostics, and feature usage data used to operate and secure the service.

3. Pinterest Data

Connecting a Pinterest account is optional. When you choose to connect Pinterest, ClickToPin uses Pinterest's official OAuth flow and API.

We do not ask for, collect, or store your Pinterest password.

We only access Pinterest account data with your authorization and only for the connected account.

Our Pinterest connection is designed around read-only access for the connected user's own account data, such as account/profile information, boards, pins, and analytics for that connected account and its pins, subject to the scopes you approve and Pinterest's platform rules.

We use Pinterest data only to provide features for the connected user, such as showing their own account performance, board data, and related workspace insights. We do not sell Pinterest API data, do not share it with data brokers or ad networks, and do not use it to target advertising outside Pinterest.

Where possible, we retrieve Pinterest data via live API calls rather than storing full copies long term. We may retain minimal connection metadata and encrypted tokens required to maintain the connection and provide the service.

4. WordPress and Other Connected Services

If you connect WordPress or another third-party service, we use the connection only to provide the features you request, such as publishing articles to your own site or retrieving your own categories and authors.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect and use any third-party account, website, or data source with ClickToPin.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the service.

We use information to authenticate users, protect accounts, detect abuse, and keep the platform secure.

We use information to generate content, display analytics, save settings, maintain third-party connections, and support scheduling and publishing workflows you initiate.

We may use information to communicate with you about service issues, account matters, policy updates, and support requests.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for internal analysis and product improvement.

6. Legal Bases and Permissions

We process information as needed to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, to protect legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, and, where required, based on your consent.

If you revoke a third-party connection, we will stop using that connection for future requests except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information or connected-account data.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the service, such as hosting, infrastructure, email, authentication, and database providers, subject to contractual or operational safeguards.

We may share information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Pinterest data obtained through Pinterest APIs is used only to provide services to the connected user and is not shared for third-party advertising or resale.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure sessions, measure performance, and improve the service.

Your browser settings may let you block some of these technologies, but doing so may affect functionality.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain account functionality, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect against abuse.

Account content and settings may remain available while your account is active, subject to feature-specific retention limits and deletions you request or trigger.

Encrypted connection tokens and related metadata are retained only as long as needed to maintain the connected service relationship. If you disconnect Pinterest from ClickToPin, we will delete the stored connection tokens associated with that connection, subject to limited backup, security, and legal retention needs.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards may include encryption of sensitive connection secrets or tokens at rest, authenticated access controls, and operational monitoring.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may access, update, or delete certain account information through the service or by contacting us.

You may disconnect Pinterest or other connected services at any time.

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights, such as rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction. We will evaluate and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

12. Children

ClickToPin is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
